Lindwood Kelley was not the type of name one would brag about, and Lindy sure as hell never did. He prefered Lin, Lind, Lindy, Kelley, anything other than Lindwood. The name was hideous, and he hated the fact that his father had ever been allowed in the hospital on the day he was born. If he hadn't, then maybe he'd have a normal name like Steve, or John.

Lindy was born to the semi famous director, Thomas Kelley, and the incredibly famous actress Sarah Sinclair. Not even a year after he was born, Lindy was a product of divorce, being shifted from parent to parent before he could even speak. Sarah's light slowly started to burn out, and as soon as she was given the "mother" role in movies, she decided Hollywood life wasn't for her, and moved to South America to pursue a more "worthy" cause. A cause that didn't include her odd named son. Thomas, however, continued to get work but never hit it as big as he'd like. He was no Spielberg and never would be.

Having a father who was always on location made it hard for Lindy to live a normal life. He got picked on for having the name Lindwood, and then hated for having a famous father. After several tantrums, Lindy was given tutors and ended up traveling with his father. Instead of learning about countries and landmarks in books, he got to visit them. When he wasn't doing schoolwork, he was usually on set with his father, watching everyone closely. His dad was his hero, even if he had been caught up in several scandals that would make anyone blush. He knew his father had a hard time finding the "right" kind of women, but as long as one never came and took his dad away...he didn't mind. He was gonna grow up to be just like Thomas, and he couldn't wait. Maybe minus the scandal part.

As Lindy grew into his pre-teens, his passion for the camera never waivered. Thomas couldn't have been more proud to see his son with a video camera stuck to his face. He filmed his own documentaries, and sometimes was able to get his father's cast to participate in short films about having to solve the mystery of the missing apple. Hey, everyone had to start from somewhere, right? He wasn't the perfectionist his father was, nor the big partier, but he was a director! He was able to laugh at his mistakes, never taking himself too seriously.

Life for Lindy was perfect until she happened. She being the school teacher visiting her family his father had met during a shoot in some random state that Lindy couldn't even remember. She was nothing like his mother. She looked like a librarian compared to his mother. Why couldn't he just go sweep her off her feet in whatever foreign country she was in and bring her home?! This woman was evil. She just wanted his money. She had kids around his age as well. He hated her. But! She was just another fling his father's and she'd soon be out the door. Or so Lindy thought.

After three short months of dating, Thomas proposed to this bookworm woman, and announced that they were to move to her home in Longport, New Jersey after the wedding and was going to stop being such a "play boy". Get a regular job. He said Lindy needed some "stability" in his life. At fourteen, he needed stability?! Why pick now to settle down and give him the life he needed so many years ago? It didn't make sense, and he was pretty sure it never would.

The camera that was glued to Lindy's face was suddenly put down. It was time to rebel. Maybe it'd stop the wedding from taking place. He ranaway from the LA mansion, determined to find his mom. His father dragged him back a week later after recieving a phone call from Lindy, bitching about the South American weather. He'd have called him sooner if it hadn't taken three days just to get to a phone. So, running away didn't work. He'd have to rebel in other ways. And, of course, he did. He decided he'd be a sports man. Kick a ball around, run...he could do that. Do things his father hated, yeah..that'd be perfect. But...it didn't help. He was still stuck watching the maids pack his bags when the movers came.

Lindy never thought he'd ever fit in. All of these kids had known each other since birth! How could he possibly make friends with people who couldn't even relate to him? Lindy had never stepped inside a grocery store, and didn't even know what a Walmart was. When a pretty girl fell out of her chair in laughter at his confession, it was then that Lindy decided he needed to make a change. He threw himself, seriously this time, into sports and made friends with being his usual nice self. Sports weren't a passion for him, but he'd definitely lost the love of the camera.

Dating? Yeah, dating was a joke. Sure, Lindy had his fair share of hot girls but...they always ended up boring him. He'd end up sitting with his chin in his hand, daydreaming about REAL girls while the girl he was actually with was dishing out the latest drip of juicy gossip. Didn't girls want to do more than shop, bitch, and gossip? He didn't mind the sex, but was that all to the relationship? He needed a girl who knew what she wanted. Who wanted to do more than party or be stupid. They still existed, right?

He then met Charli Delfino, who changed his outlook on "boring" girls. For a few months, Lindy was in heaven...then suddenly, his dad announced the marriage had failed and they were heading back to California. Great. Lindy reluctantly packed up his belongings, and said goodbye to his girlfriend, feeling he should have fought a little harder to stay. But, it was a high school relationship and those never lasted. He went back to Cali, and his tutors, quickly getting his diploma while he partied. It was now summer, and he felt maybe...just maybe he should head back and see if Longport still offered anything, or if his head had been in the clouds. Was he heading back for the lost girlfriend? No. Was he going back for the guy he'd started to become and had left behind once he went back to California? Yes.
